We talk a lot about taking action to achieve effects. What kind of action? Here are three meta ways we spend our time:
Learn. Know what your organization is experiencing, and the broad context of what’s going on in the world it relates to.
Create. Craft and ship something that will help build your organization’s resources, authorities and support.
Engage. Use what you’ve learned and created to start conversations.
You’re good if you spend time on learning, creating and engaging.
You’re righteous, in doing so, if your audience learns information they need; creates complementary work for their own organization; and engages further on your behalf.
