Who Cleans the Office?

by Dave ChaceMay 24, 2019

Look around your team.

Who are the members finding small pockets of time to take out the trash or put shit away?

In our experience, the ones who make time to knock out the menial tasks aren’t the ones with the fewest tasks or least focus on mission.

They are likely among your most effective, connected and busy.

This is more observation than advice, but what does it mean? If you clean the office more often, everyone will think you’re busy?

Maybe, but appearing busy isn’t really the point.

When you’re focused on your organization, efficient with your time and cognizant of the way your team presents itself, the little things get taken care of. Without drama.

Organizations don’t become elite because they keep their offices clean, but they do become elite because they execute the basics to perfection.
