The Protect America Officer

by Dave ChaceNovember 25, 2019

Who’s that new person in the headquarters?

That one fresh out of some school in Maryland.

Usually in the JOC or with the commander.

Always talks about Protecting America.

Briefs the commander about Protecting America.

Chats up supply clerks about Protecting America.

Calls journalists to talk about Protecting America.

Tweets about it, too.

Even puts it on signs.

This person says everything our organization does connects to Americans’ safety. They say all our resources, authorities and support connect to our unit’s ability to serve the nation. And, they’re pretty good at explaining those connections.

Guess that’s why they’re called the PAO.

The Protect America Officer.
